Much of Chesapeake Estate remains undeveloped bushland and so there are a wealth of animals and birds present, although the number and types of animals that we see vary considerably both depending on the season, and from one year to the next.
Some of the more common animals on the estate include;
Birds: Scrub turkeys, cockatoos, and kookaburras
Lizards: Goannas, skinks and geckos
Snakes: Carpet pythons, green and brown trees snakes, and collared whip snakes
Others: Echidnas, wallabies, and bandicoots.
And you'll be pleased to know that they are all very happy to leave you alone, provided you leave them alone.
